Generally speaking, it is a database issue, such as age, sex, or event data that is incorrect. Seldom is it a missed tag read. Additionally you may be the Masters winner, and you have been pulled from the age awards.
The timing tag is on the back of your bib. It must be orientated in a vertical position, so your bib must be in a landscape orientation. The bib should be on the front of your torso, unobstructed by clothing, water bottles, arms, etc. Optionally it can be on your shorts in a landscape orientation if not wearing a shirt.
The timing tag is on the back of your number plate. It must be orientated in a vertical position, so your number plate must be in a landscape orientation. The plate needs to be attached to your handlebars only. Do not bend, fold, cut, or wrap the number plate around any part of your bike. The timing tag may not function.
If you picked up your number from registration and got anywhere near a timing location, your tag was read. Please contact timing immediately.
